Bayards Hill Primary School
Today we had a visiting speaker at our meeting!
We had a visiting speaker to our meeting today: Mr Smart came in and suggested a brilliant idea about a nature area. When we voted, everyone agreed that it would be a good project to work on. It will involve fundraising, planning, designing and building different things.
We have decided that we would love to participate in challenges through the John Muir Awards, and Mr Smart will come back to a meeting in the next couple of weeks to help us plan our next steps.
We also talked about starting a Door Monitors system because we have noticed that people argue about holding doors open in corridors, and sometimes people are barging into doors which isn’t safe. Our two Year 6 Councillors will also talk to their classroom teachers about Chair Monitors to help organise chairs for Assembly.
A Year 6 Councillor raised a question about the security in the bike sheds, which we will discuss further at another meeting.
The full minutes of our meeting can be found on our School Council noticeboard by Reception.
