Spotlight on Attendance
Attendance Hits Record High at Bayards Hill
We are delighted that our attendance figure hit 96% this week. This the standard the government expects all schools to reach by the end of the year, we are well on the way to achieving it.
Thank-you parents for all the support you give by sending your children to school on time, everyday.
Also well done to Mrs Reading and her team for being so active in supporting those with attendance difficulties.
Who are the Attendance Team?
- Mrs Coppen and Mrs Whittle check attendance everyday and even go out to collect children who are struggling to get into school.
- Mrs Germain, in the office checks the registers everyday and lets Mrs Reading know about the attendance of every child in the school. She also updates the attendance notice boards.
- Mrs Reading organises the team. She sends out the letter and postcards, and organises the attendance prizes. She also provides support for families who are finding improving their attendance hard.
96% is a great improvement on last year and it shows the impact the team are making. Once again well done!
