    Year 2 are starting to use the garden a bit more as the weather becomes more suitable. As a result, we have been looking after our garden and making it more inviting. We had a go at planting marigolds, bulbs and sunflowers ready to grow when the sunshine a bit more.

    To continue with our green fingers science topic this term, we learnt about the apart during of a plant, their name and their specific functions to help keep the plant alive. We recreated a plant by using junk modelling. Some of us even used real flowers!

    Continuing with our learning journey of Plants this term, we conducted a comparative investigation and planted some cress seeds. We learnt about necessary conditions to help the plants survive (soil, water). We put one plant in sunlight and water and the other in a dark place (a cupboard).

    It has been SATs week in Year 2 and we have been working extremely hard with our tests. Whilst we haven't been taking part in the statutory tests, we have been designing and creating board games in teams of 5.

    A huge well done to our Role Model for ciming back after half term with an amazing attitude to learning! Our Star Writer has been working super hard in all lessons. His presentation and handwriting has dramatically improved in the space of a week with an amazing effort joining ascenders and descenders. Great start to the term guys, keep it up!
