Easter is here...
Our Jazz children have been making up wonderful tongue twisters. Here are some examples.
Our Jazz children have now received their usernames and passwords to access Mathletics!
This is a great tool to help them develop their maths skills and have fun at the same time. We would like to encourage them to use this fantastic app at home as often as possible. It would be fantastic if we can see their names in the Wall of Fame!
Well done Jazz class for a great first week.
Jazz class has had a great start to this new academic year! Over the first seven weeks, we will be working together to explore the School value of this term: "Know Yourself" and every week we will focus on one of its qualities.
The quality of this week was RESILIENCE. Our children designed some amazing cards where they expressed their desire to always work hard and and never give up!
Also, we would like to congratulate to our first students who made it to the Wall of Fame:
Layton: Star Mathematician
Breanna: Star Reader
School Value Person: Huda
Keep checking our blog to see what we've been up to!
Jazz have been working hard learning about volcanoes and how they erupt. We enjoyed it so much we decided to make our own! After lots of scrunching newspaper, messy paper mache and painting they were finally ready to erupt today! Have a look at the eruptions below! We even got to show some in Assembly!
This week Jazz has been looking at performance poetry! After looking at the poem 'No word of a lie' by Jackie Kay, we decided to create and perform our own versions!
Being locked in the back of the van!
As part of this terms Think Big topic Year 3 have been thinking about citizenship. Today we enjoyed a visit from the local PCSO's to discuss how we can be better citizens within our community. We even got to have a go in the van too!
