Well done to everyone who took part in the Bayards Sports Relief Mile. Thank you to Mrs Fisher for organising the event. Don't forget to now bring in your sponsor money to the school office!

Tree Planting
On the 24th and 25th February many parents, carers, governors and pupils came to plant a tree in the school grounds in memory of a loved one. In total 105 trees were donated by Low Carbon Barton and 4 larger trees by Oxford Garden Centre. The sun shone and lots of digging was done by all!

Pancake Races for All!
Thank you to Mrs Fisher for organising the pancake races that our children took part in.

NSPCC Fundraising
We are very pleased to announce that last week's sponsored walk/run around the school field raised an amazing £1497! The children really enjoyed the walk! Thank You to everyone whose sponsorship helped us raise a great total!

Anti-bullying and Children in Need 2011-11-18
This week children have been doing work about anti-bullying: Stop and think - words can hurt. In assembly we showcased their work. Bayards Hill have also supported Children in Need 2011 by coming into school dressed in spots and decorating our Pudsey with pennies. Watch this space to see how much we raised!

Royal Albert Hall - Schools Prom
13 pupils from Years 5 & 6 performed at the Royal Albert Hall in the Schools Prom as part of a Massed Choir of 500 children from around Oxfordshire. Click here to find out more…

Storytelling at Bayards
Telling stories has become a large part of teaching Literacy at Bayards. The children are learning to hear, map, step and tell a wide variety of stories. The pictures show some fantastic displays based on the stories that some year groups have produced. See the class teacher if you would like a copy of any of the stories to tell at home.

Girls Football Tournament
Congratulations to the year 5 & 6 girls who have won the Oxford City Under 11s tournament and therefore qualify for the county finals. Well done!

Football Tournament
Well done to our Year 5 & 6 boys football team who reached the semi-finals of their tournament on Tuesday. It was a pleasure to take all the boys and everyone displayed excellent manners and team spirit.
