The Climbing Wall!
Pupils from Year 5 and 6 enjoyed a high-rise session on the climbing wall that came to school on Tuesday. They scaled new heights and had fun zooming back down again! Thanks to Mr Smart for his organisation.
Updates from around the school:
Year 1 visit to Warwick Castle!
On Monday 26th January Year 1 headed to Warwick Castle as part of their 'Castles and Dragons' topic. We had the most amazing day meeting a real knight, making our own shields and climbing to the top of the tallest tower! We even met some peacocks who tried to steal our lunch!
Year 2 Visit from the Fire Engine
Year 2 were visited by the fire service. This was as part of their topic 'The Great Fire of London'. The children really enjoyed learning about the fire engine and the different equipment they use. They also spent time learning what the fire service did.
Foundation Stage and Key Stage One have enjoyed performing their Christmas plays. The Foundation Stage performed a traditional nativity and Key Stage One performed 'Baubles'. Thank you to the staff for their hard work preparing the plays and to the children who performed excellently. Thank you also to all the parents and carers who came to watch them.
BBC Children in Need
We're very happy to announced that we have raised £174 for this year's appeal! Thanks to everyone who got involved and helped us to raise funds for this brilliant cause!
Alice in Wonderland Week
Children have been enjoying a week of Alice in Wonderland stories and work. The Story Museum came on Monday to introduce us to the story and brought with them a fantastic museum all about Alice in Wonderland. Here are 2EW enjoying their session at the museum. We are having a sharing assembly on Friday to see what we have all been doing.
Macmillan Coffee Morning - A great success!
Thanks to everybody who came along to and helped out with our coffee morning in September. We raised £470 for this brilliant cause!
